A solid mid-range air fryer with genuinely toxin-free coating and excellent capacity, though the preset temperatures need manual tweaking for Indian cooking.

Detailed Review

First Impressions

Another air fryer claiming to be toxin-free? We have heard that before. But I will admit, the build quality surprised me. The matte black finish feels premium, not like those cheap plastic ones that start peeling after six months. The 6.5L basket is genuinely spacious and my wife immediately said “finally, something that can handle fries for the whole family.”

How I Tested This

We are a joint family of 5, and summer here means the kitchen becomes unbearable by noon. I tested this air fryer daily for almost 4 weeks through May heat, occasional power cuts, and everything from frozen fries to homemade paneer tikka. My mother-in-law made her famous aloo tikkis, my kids demanded chicken nuggets almost every other day, and I experimented with reheating leftover parathas. The real test was fitting an 8-inch pizza which it handled, but just barely.

Performance

The ILAG CeramicTech coating is the star here. After a month of heavy use, nothing sticks and cleaning takes maybe 2 minutes with warm water. No scratches despite my wife using metal tongs once by mistake. The 360-degree heating works well for most things, but here is my honest complaint. The preset temperatures run a bit hot for Indian snacks. The “fries” preset at 200 degrees burned my first batch of chaklis. I had to manually drop it to 180 degrees and add 2 extra minutes. Once you figure out these adjustments, results are consistent.

Noise levels are acceptable. It is definitely audible from the living room but not annoying like our old Philips model. During a power cut, it resumed cooking from where it stopped which saved a batch of tandoori chicken from disaster.

Build and Design

The digital touch display is responsive but collects fingerprints like crazy. The basket slides out smoothly and has a good grip handle that stays cool. One small annoyance is the cord length. At around 1 meter, it barely reaches our switchboard and we needed an extension. For small Indian kitchens, this matters.

Value for Money

At this price point, you are getting legitimate ceramic coating, solid capacity, and a 2-year warranty which most brands do not offer. Compared to similarly priced Agaro or Inalsa models, the coating quality feels genuinely better. But if you are looking for smart features or app connectivity, look elsewhere.

What Could Be Better

The presets are clearly designed for Western cooking. No dedicated mode for tikkas, kebabs, or pakoras. The instruction manual is basic and does not include Indian recipes. Also, the basket could use a divider for cooking two items separately.

Our Verdict

The NUUK BRISK is a genuinely good air fryer if you are okay spending 10 minutes learning its quirks. Buy it for the excellent ceramic coating and family-friendly capacity. Skip it if you want plug-and-play Indian cooking presets. Consider Philips HD9200 for reliability or Agaro Grand for similar features at lower price.
