First Impressions
When the DROGO gaming chair arrived at my door in Pune, I was genuinely surprised by the size of the box. Assembly took me about 45 minutes with the included Allen keys, and honestly, the instructions could have been clearer. The weave fabric felt promising right out of the box – not that cheap synthetic leather smell that makes you want to open all windows.
How I Tested This
I used this chair for three weeks straight during peak Bangalore summer heat while working from home and gaming in the evenings. My test included 6-8 hour coding sessions, weekend VALORANT marathons, and even a few movie nights. I specifically wanted to see how the breathable fabric held up when our AC decided to take a break during load shedding.
Performance
The breathable weave fabric is genuinely the highlight here. Unlike my previous PU leather chair that turned into a sweat trap by afternoon, this one kept things relatively cool. My back wasn’t drenched after long sessions, which is a win in Indian summers. The lumbar support pillow is adjustable and actually helps – I noticed less lower back pain compared to my old office chair.
However, the armrests are where DROGO cut corners. They’re fixed position with basic padding, and after extended use, they started creaking. The recline function works but feels a bit stiff, and I wouldn’t trust it at full 180-degree recline – it wobbles. The gas lift seems standard quality, nothing premium.
Build Quality Concerns
I’m 5’10” and around 78 kgs, and the chair fits me okay. But my cousin who’s 6’2″ found it cramped, especially around the shoulders. The weight capacity is rated at 100 kgs, but I’d honestly recommend it only up to 85 kgs for long-term durability. Some Flipkart reviews mention wheel issues after 6 months – something to watch.
Value for Money
At this price point, you’re getting what you pay for. It’s better than those ₹4,000-5,000 office chairs from local furniture shops, but it’s not competing with Green Soul or Kepler Brooks in terms of build quality. If you’re a casual gamer or someone who needs a decent WFH setup without breaking the bank, it does the job. For serious gamers or anyone above 85 kgs, save up for something sturdier.
