A budget-friendly wet and dry vacuum that handles basic Indian household messes decently, but don’t expect heavy-duty performance.

Detailed Review

First Impressions

When the SEZNIK vacuum arrived, I was honestly a bit skeptical. The box felt lighter than I expected, and the plastic body had that budget-appliance feel. But hey, at this price point, you’re not getting a Dyson, right? Assembly took me about 10 minutes – the instructions were in broken English, so I mostly figured it out by looking at the pictures. The hose connections felt a bit flimsy, and I had to really push to get them to click in place.

How I Tested This

I put this through a proper desi household test over three weeks. First challenge: post-Diwali cleaning with rangoli powder scattered everywhere. Then I used it for regular dust and pet hair (my neighbour’s dog visits way too often). For the wet function, I tested it on chai spills in the kitchen and some water that leaked from my AC unit. I also tried it on my balcony where Delhi pollution leaves a thick layer of grime.

Performance

The suction power is… okay. It picked up fine dust and small debris without issues, but struggled with heavier particles like rice grains or dal that my kids seem to drop everywhere. The wet vacuum function actually surprised me – it handled the chai spill reasonably well, though you need to empty the tank frequently. It’s quite compact which is great for Mumbai-sized flats, but the cord is annoyingly short at about 4 metres. I kept having to switch sockets while cleaning my 2BHK.

Noise is another concern – my wife complained it sounds like an autorickshaw starting up. Using it during my son’s online classes was definitely not an option. The filters need cleaning after almost every use if you’re dealing with fine dust, which is basically every day in most Indian cities.

Value for Money

Looking at Amazon.in reviews, many users echo my experience – decent for light cleaning, not great for deep cleaning. Flipkart customers have mentioned motor heating issues after 20-25 minutes of continuous use, and I noticed this too. For the price, it’s acceptable if you need a secondary vacuum or have a small space. But if you’re expecting it to replace your kaamwali bai completely, think again.

Our Verdict

The SEZNIK wet and dry vacuum is a passable choice if you’re on a tight budget and need occasional wet spill cleanup. I’d recommend it only for small homes or as a backup vacuum. If you can stretch your budget to ₹5,000-6,000, consider the Eureka Forbes Wet & Dry or the Inalsa Ultra WD21 for noticeably better suction and durability.
